Kids enjoying a neon splatter room birthday party at Splashit

Splashit's Neon Splatter Room is designed for kids 5 and older, and a significant share of our bookings are kids' birthdays. This is what parents ask us before booking — and our straight answers.

Are the paints safe for kids?

Yes. All Splashit paints are non-toxic, water-based and skin-safe. They meet the same standards as kids' craft paints. Kids with known skin sensitivities should do a spot test on a coverall sleeve first — let our team know and they'll help.

Is the UV blacklight harmful?

No. UV blacklight (UV-A) is the same light used in clubs, bowling alleys and nail salons. It's not UV-B (sunburn) or UV-C (germicidal). Sessions are 60 minutes — well within safe limits.

What age can kids do the splatter room?

Ages 5 and older. Children under 12 must have a parent or guardian present. Under-5s can watch but can't participate (coveralls don't fit small enough).

Is supervision provided?

Yes. Every session is run by a trained Splashit artist who walks the group through safety, hands out paint, and monitors the session throughout.
