How long does a 1.5 ft rug take?
- Demo + safety briefing, 10 minutes
- Design selection / tracing, 10 minutes
- Tufting the design, 45-50 minutes
- Trimming the surface, handled by Splashit after the session
- Gluing the backing, handled by Splashit, rug is shipped or collected the next day
How long does a 3 ft rug take?
A 3 ft rug takes 4–6 hours of tufting time for an experienced beginner. Splashit offers half-day and full-day tufting packages for this, great for couples' projects, corporate offsites and serious hobbyists.
What makes a rug take longer?
- High detail, lots of small shapes or colour changes
- Mixed pile (cut + loop), two passes with different guns
- Tighter yarn density, a premium finish takes more punches per square inch
